Order of inspection
P0862 Gear Shift Module Communication Circuit High High
The P0862 code means the communication line to the gear shift module is reading high, and the transmission computer has lost contact with it. The transmission may go into limp mode, or the shifter may stop responding. An open line or a short to voltage is the usual cause.
