Order of inspection
U0018 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus (+) Shorted to Bus (-) High
The U0018 code means the computer detected a short between the two wires of the medium speed CAN bus, with the (-) wire shorted to the (+) wire. It usually sets communication codes in several modules and, depending on the network affected, limp mode or a dash full of warning lights. With the two wires tied together, the network stops working.
