P2101 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Range/Performance High
The P2101 code means the computer commanded a throttle opening and checked that it was not reached. The problem is in the actuator: the electric motor that moves the throttle plate is not responding the way it should, almost always because carbon buildup is holding it back or because the motor itself is worn out. The vehicle goes into limp mode.
