P0720 Output Speed Sensor Circuit High
The P0720 code means the computer is not getting a valid signal from the sensor that measures the speed of the transmission output shaft. Without it, the computer cannot work out the gear ratio or decide the shifts, so the transmission goes into limp mode and the speedometer may stop working. The most common cause is the sensor itself or its connector.
