P0553 Power Steering Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit High Low
The P0553 code means the power steering pressure sensor signal is above its maximum value. The main effect is an idle that drops when you turn the wheel. It usually points to an open circuit or an interrupted ground, and a loose connector is the most common cause.
