P0543 Intake Air Heater A Circuit Open Low
The P0543 code means the intake air heater circuit is open, so the component does not get current when it is commanded. It can cause hard starting when the engine is cold, along with white smoke. Measure the heater resistance first to see whether the break is inside the heater or in the wiring.
