P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor A Malfunction High
The P0500 code means the computer is not getting the vehicle speed signal, or is getting one that makes no sense. Many systems use that data at once, so you notice the loss in the speedometer, the transmission, cruise control and power steering. Almost every time it is the sensor or its wiring, and you should drive with caution until it is fixed.
