Multi-code OBD2 diagnosis
Enter all the codes your scanner showed, not just the first one. We give you the overall severity, whether you can keep driving, the order in which to check them and how they relate to each other.

The order below is the recommended one: first the codes that can cause the others. After each repair, clear the codes and check which ones come back.
Order of inspection
P0379 Timing Reference High Resolution Signal B No Pulses Medium
The P0379 code means the computer receives no pulses at all on high resolution timing reference signal B, which it uses to work out engine position precisely. A sensor without power, a cut wire or a failed sensor is the usual reason. The engine usually keeps running on the low resolution signal alone, but less smoothly.
