Order of inspection
P0234 Turbocharger/Supercharger Overboost Condition High
The P0234 code means boost pressure went above the maximum the engine is allowed to see. It is the opposite of P0299 and far more serious, because too much boost loads the pistons, head gasket and turbo beyond their design. The computer cuts power right away to protect the engine.
