Order of inspection
P0017 Crankshaft Position Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor B) High
The P0017 code means the computer compared the crankshaft signal with the exhaust camshaft signal and found an offset larger than allowed. It is the same diagnosis as P0016 but for the exhaust camshaft. It is a serious mechanical code: a stretched chain, a worn tensioner or degraded oil is almost always behind it.
